Jeera Rice

Serving : 2-3 Person

Ingredients :

  • 2 cups Basmati Rice
  • 4 cups Water
  • Salt To Taste
  • 2 tsp Ghee
  • 1 tsp Mustard (rai) Seeds
  • 1 tsp Cumin (jeera) Seeds
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder

Method :

Wash 2 cups of rice with water 2-3 times and drain out excess of water. Add 4 cups of water and salt to taste to washed rice and microwave it on high for 20-22 mins. (Drain excess water if any). steamed rice is ready.

Heat ghee in a pan and add mustard seeds, once it crackles add cumin seeds and cooled steamed rice and garam masala powder and mix properly (take care not to smash rice grains). cook for 2 mins and then remove from flame.

Serve hot with any kind of currys ( rajma masala ) or dal.
