Rasam Masala

Rasam Masala is a powder that you can use to make Rasam. Rasam, or charu pani, chaaru, saaru, saathamudhu, or kabir is a South Indian dish. It is a spicy-sweet-sour stock traditionally prepared using kokum, tamarind, or dried green mango juice as a base along with jaggery, chili pepper, black pepper, cumin, tomato, and other spices as seasonings.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Coriander Seeds
  • 1 Teaspoon Jeera
  • 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Methi Seeds
  • 5-8 Dry Kashmiri Chillies
  • 1 Teaspoon Tur Daal
  • 1 Teaspoon Hing
  • 1 Teaspoon turmeric Powder
  • 6-8 Curry Leaves
  • Salt To Taste

Method

  • Roast Everything
  • Cool it down by spreading it over a dish
  • Grind to fine paste.
