Jain Taipei Paneer Chilly

Serving: 2 persons

Ingredients :

  • 150 grams Cottage Cheese (Paneer)
  • 1 Cup Green Peppers (Capsicum)
  • Chopped Coriander
  • Oil

For Batter

  • 2 Tablespoon Corn Flour
  • 2 Tablespoon All Purpose Flour (Maida)
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Dark Soy Sauce
  • Salt To Taste

For Sauce

  • 5 Dry Red Chillies
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Dark Soy Sauce
  • Salt To Taste

Method:

  • Cut Paneer in small rectangles as needed.
  • Cut Peppers in Stripes
  • Soak Dry Red Chillies in water for Half and Hour
  • Mix all the batter ingredients in a bowl.
  • Add water as required to make a thick batter.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Dip Paneer rectangles in the batter and deep fry them in hot oil till crisp golden brown.
  • Mix soaked chillies with other ingredients of the sauce and blend together in a mixer.
  • Heat little oil in a pan and add pepper strips into it.
  • Saute them for a minute and then add fried Paneer.
  • Add the sauce and mix them evenly until the sauce completely coats paneer and bell peppers.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot.
