Paneer Tortillas

Jain Paneer Tortillas

Serving : 2-3 Persons

Ingredients :

For Tortillas :

  • 1/2 cup All Purpose Flour (maida)
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • Salt to Taste

Other Ingredients :

  • 2 Tablespoon Tomato Ketchup
  • 1 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder (Lal Mirch)
  • 1 Cup Green/Red Bell Peppers (Capsicum)
  • 8-10 Jalepenos
  • Pepper Powder to Taste
  • 1 Cup Cottage Cheese (Paneer) (Grated)
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt To Taste
  • Dried Oregano
  • Red Chilli Flakes

Method :

For Tortilla – Mix all the ingredients and knead to a soft dough. Divide into 4 equal balls and flatten it to 4 tortillas. Roast individual tortilla very lightly from both side on hot tawa and keep aside.

Preheat oven to 250 degrees celcius. Lightly grease muffin tray with olive oil. Start by laying each tortilla out individually on a flat surface, and use an empty can, cup, or cookie cutter to cut 3-4 medium circles out of each wrap. Press firmly enough, using a rocking motion, until it cuts through the wrap. Press each tortlla inside muffin tray using your fingers. Spread some olive oil on each tortilla and keep in pre heated oven for 2 min (till sides start turning brown).

Mix tomato ketchup and red chilli powder to make pizza sauce. Add a spoonful of pizza sauce to each tortilla. Mix paneer, bell pepers, jalepenos, pepper powder, chilli flakes and oregano together in a bowl. Add 1tbsp of above paneer mix into each tortilla.

Bake these paner tortillas at 200 degrees celsius for 10-12 mins in preheated oven(Convection mode) till tortillas gets crusty. Let it cool down a bit and then remove this from muffin trays.

Serve warm and enjoy.
