  1. Dates cake ingredients:
    1 cup maida
    16 dates
    200 ml milk
    1 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp vanilla essence
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 cup butter / oil

    METHOD

First soak dates in hot milk for an hr.

    Start oven for pre-heating

Then make paste of dates and milk. Add sugar, oil/butter and vanilla essence and mix well.

Shift maida, baking soda and baking powder together.

Add little by little to dates mixture. Mix well.

Apply butter in cake mold, dust it with plain floor.

Pour cake mixture to mold, bake it on low heat (180 degree) for 25 min. Keep on checking in between, when cake leaves the edges then cake is done. It may take less or more time.

    Cake is ready.

Its not too sweet, so u can have hot hot cake.

NOTE: this proportion is for oven and OTG, for microwave consistency of batter may be more thinner. First try with this proportion and check. If it comes out dry then add little more milk next time, if its too sticky type reduce amount of milk.
