This is a traditional gujarati dish. Dapka is nothing but chickpea flour dumplings that are cooked with rice and served with Kadhi.
Serving : 2-3 Person
- 1 1/2 cup Rice
- Salt To Taste
For Dapka :
- 2 cups Besan (Chickpea Flour)
- 2-3 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Red chilli Powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric (Haldi) Powder
- Salt to Taste
Method : Wash and soak rice in water and keep it aside.
Mix all the ingredients of dapka and knead a firm dough using water as needed. Divide the dough into 30 equal parts and make balls out of it.
Add these dapkas in 3 cups of boiling water and let it cook for 5 mins. Add washed rice and salt to taste to the boiling water. Let it cook till rice is cooked properly. Strain out extra water if any.
Serve dapka bhaat hot with kadhi.
